Faculty of Science
The Faculty of Science (FNWI), part of Radboud University, engages in groundbreaking research and excellent education. In doing so, we push the boundaries of scientific knowledge and pass that knowledge on to the next generation.
We seek solutions to major societal challenges, such as cybercrime and climate change and work on major scientific challenges, such as those in the quantum world. At the same time, we prepare our students for careers both within and outside the scientific field.
Currently, more than 1,300 colleagues contribute to research and education, some as researchers and lecturers, others as technical and administrative support officers. The faculty has a strong international character with staff from more than 70 countries. Together, we work in an informal, accessible and welcoming environment, with attention and space for personal and professional development for all.
Are you an ambitious researcher who enjoys collaborating with other lab members? Do you want to put your computational knowledge to good use? Then this may be the job for you! Come and join the Vermeulen research group as a postdoctoral researcher on this NWO-VICI project.
We are looking for an ambitious computational postdoctoral researcher with ample experience in analysing ‘omics’ datasets. Experience in analysing large-scale epitranscriptomics (i.e. PAR-CLIP, transcriptome-wide RNA modification maps) and/or proteomics datasets is a plus but not strictly required. As a computational postdoctoral researcher you will particulate in an NWO-VICI project dedicated to deciphering the role of mRNA modifications and their ‘readers’ in (perturbed) blood cell differentiation. You will also collaborate with other lab members in ongoing interaction proteomics-based and multi-omics projects. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to develop novel ideas and work on additional independent projects that are aligned with this research theme.
The RIMLS-Science Institute at Radboud University is a leading research institute that integrates state-of-the-art multi-omics technologies to uncover the molecular basis of development and cellular differentiation in health and disease. Michiel Vermeulen’s lab at the RIMLS-Science Institute consists of about 15 researchers and provides a vivid, international research environment. Our extensive collaborative network (i.e. the Oncode Institute) also provides ample opportunities for networking and joint research activities both within the Netherlands and abroad.
You can apply only via the button below. Address your letter of application to Michiel Vermeulen. In the application form, you will find which documents you need to include with your application.
The first interviews will take place on Friday 7 March. You will preferably start your employment on 1 May 2025.
